We have all arrived safely in New York City! Praise God! We have been praying for this day for a couple of years now and we believe more than ever that this is where God wants us to be. It's been a crazy couple of months and this week has been no exception. We haven't posted anything to our blog in awhile since we've been traveling, moving, loading, driving, hauling, and flying this last week, so here's a little rundown of what has been going on lately.
-May 28: We picked up our Penske rental truck
-May 31: We loaded the truck and hooked up the car carrier.
-June 1: My dad and I left Tulsa, OK on June 1st at 4:45am and stayed the night just outside of Pittsburgh, PA.
-June 2: We got up the next morning not quite as early and arrived in Brooklyn, NY on June 2nd around 6pm. It was a long trip but a fairly uneventful one. I thank God for that. I appreciate all the prayers that went ahead of us for a safe journey.
-June 3-7: Dad and I spent the next few days touring NYC and unloading boxes.
-June 8: Maria, Becky and her mom Karen flew into Laguardia Airport in the evening. Their flight was delayed a little but only by about a half an hour. I was just thrilled to see them again, and Maria was thrilled to sleep in her own bed again!
We already have so much more to share and we believe God has a lot in store for us here. I don't think it'll take as long for us to post another blog soon because we've already got some stories to tell y'all.
Thank you so much to all our prayer warriors out there. There could have been so many hang-ups this last week, but nothing stopped your prayers and we are reaping the benefits.
Thank you to all the financial supporters too! You have encouraged us with your giving. When Bethesda emails us updates of our supporters that are stepping up to the plate we thank God for you. I wish I had better words that could express our gratitude to you all.
