Hi! It's me, Maria

Greetings, it's me, Maria.
I am just getting acquainted with the whole blogging phenomena so please bear with me as I post my initial entry. We have journeyed around my home state of Texas as well as my ancestral motherland, Oklahoma, while father has preached sermons in 4 different churches this April. He's improving; however, if I have to listen to the same exegesis of Acts 1:1-11, then I may need to learn how to read so I can hear something different.
Also, I've experienced new things with my grandparents. Recently, Grandad let me sample all the latest flavors of frozen yogurt.
My anticipation to the sweet, dairy delight was building.

However, the first attempt of finding my frozen muse failed because it merely lacked flavor and inspiration.

As providence would have it, I quickly grasped the concept that frozen yogurt's purpose is not to just experience new flavors that are satisfactory to your personal liking, but to grow as a person with those that you love while eating a cupful.

While traveling through the Lone Star state, we lost one of my dearest friends. She may just be a baby doll I call "Baby" but she is so much more. I hold her when I fall asleep and chew on her pigtails when I get scared. We have been through many dangers, toils and snares together these past 30 months and 7 days...but who is counting?
That is why it gives me great joy to let everyone know that Baby is safe and sound. It turns out she had found her way underneath mother's suitcase in the corner of the room. That's why I have instated a new policy, nobody puts Baby in a corner. I digress.
We've obtained a hectic schedule for the sole purpose of gaining partners for this new church plant in New York City. Grateful doesn't even begin to describe our family's heart as we have gathered partners who will pray for us on an ongoing basis and have pledged to support us financially. We have witnessed many responsive hearts that have in turn delivered encouragement to the door of our kindred spirits. While the North American Mission Board (NAMB) will help us with some funds they made it clear that they do not pay church planters a full time salary. We are in need of more. NAMB holds to the belief that "churches plant churches". Albeit that NAMB is surely a reliable ally to have in church planting, we are seeking additional supporting churches to partner with us as we move forward in this process.
In conjunction with locating supportive churches, we too have begun asking individuals to join us as partners. If you would like to partner with my family through the gift of prayer or the gift of money, then please sign up to be placed on our mailing list. All you have to do is email jordansauceda@hotmail.com and type "NYC Newsletter" in the subject line and write your name and mailing address in the body of the email.

Best wishes and kind regards,
Maria
